What is a Catchment Passport©?
A Catchment Passport is a concise document that uses a geographic approach and addresses key general and regional info on local dynamics of water allocation and use. It condenses available data on the catchment water balance and it focuses on specific agricultural commodities. It details info for assessing and managing risks like ecosystems, social, climate change, droughts and floods, groundwater situation, environmental flow requirements. It is a relatively short document that provides the basic info for joint catchment water stewardship engagement and action planning by stakeholders to move towards a sustainable catchment.
