GSI is engaging with the municipality and the Lötschenbach club in order to use publicly available and geographically distributed data provided by the Federal Office of the Environment (BAFU by its German acronym) to prepare a water budget and trigger participation.
The Lötschenbach is a small stream and the catchment where the GSI office in Switzerland is located, in the municipality of Ostermundigen (Bern). Because it is small, water quantity and quality challenges are more strongly felt. GSI is engaging with the municipality and the Lötschenbach club in order to use publicly available and geographically distributed data provided by the Federal Office of the Environment (BAFU by its German acronym) to prepare a water budget and trigger participation of other stakeholders to ensure a long life for the Lötschenbach. For this, we use our WaterData4Action approach. Contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. if you want to know more.
